We spent last weekend in Tucson (Arizona) for the Tucson Bicycle Classic; a 3 day stage race. We camped (yes, we included me) in the Saquaro National Forest. It was a little warm during the day, but we managed to survive. On Saturday we went to the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum. I did not have high expectations but was pleasantly surprised. The "Museum" is actually a zoo and a very cool one at that. The kids had an amazing time. It was definitely worth the trip. Although, the purpose of the trip was for a bike race, I have no pictures of Chuck racing. Bike racing is not much of a spectator sport, especially with 3 children. But the desert was beautiful as are our children!

Pack 26
C has been busy with his cub scout pack. He spent weeks on his pine wood derby car, getting inspiration for it's design from the formula one racing cars. Unfortunately, it didn't race like a formula one car. He is hands down the cutest cub scout however. He also enjoyed a family camp out with his pack. The best part of the camp out for me was that it was close to home, so I could sleep in my own bed. C's favorite part was the fishing.

MacDonald Ranch
The kids had been asking to go horseback riding, so when I saw a Groupon for 1/2 price trail rides, I couldn't pass them up and thought they'd make great Christmas presents. I took them and it happened to be a cold, blustery day. But we only got rained on a little bit and the kids really enjoyed the ride. H said she didn't want to go right as we were about to get on the horse, but I gave her no choice and now she can't wait to do it again.
